Unexpectedly large drop in German producer prices

Producer prices in Germany fell by 0.5 percent in September compared to the previous month. It was more than expected.

Analysts had on average expected a price decrease of 0.2 percent in producer prices.

In annual terms, prices fell by 1.4 percent, which can be compared to the average forecast of 1.1 percent.
