The USA is banning the Russian IT security firm Kaspersky from providing its popular antivirus products in the country, according to the American Department of Commerce.
The company will, amongst other things, no longer be able to sell its software within the USA or offer updates to software already in use, according to a statement.
This is the first measure of its kind.
