The loss in the highly anticipated duel against Armand Duplantis became the last race of the season for Karsten Warholm.
The Norwegian running star is now announcing that he will not run anymore this year in order to try to get rid of his injury problems instead.
Warholm, who took Olympic Games silver on 400 meters hurdles in Paris, will thus miss, among other things, this week's Diamond League final in Brussels.
Warholm suffered a minor strain in his thigh in the 100-meter duel against Duplantis in Zurich last week.
