A preliminary investigation into breaches of confidentiality has been initiated after a police officer or prosecutor, by mistake, may have revealed a 22-year-old woman's secret information. This is according to TV4. At the beginning of May, she was found dead.
The woman was under threat of murder and had reported her family for honour-related oppression and illegal threats. Therefore, she had to go into hiding in another part of Sweden. At the end of the year, the preliminary investigation was dropped.
In January, the woman's family began searching for her in her new location. Later, the woman confirmed that her family had received a letter sent from the police, containing information about her new address, name, and new personal identification number.
In May, the woman was found murdered in a recreational area. Three family members are detained, suspected of murder and disturbing the peace of the dead.
