Wildlife Accident, Askersund
23.18. Patrol responds to a traffic accident between a car and an elk. The elk dies on the spot, and the people in the car are treated by ambulance personnel, but do not need to be taken to a medical facility. No suspicion of crime. The accident occurred on Highway 50 in Hammar.

Vandalism, Hallsberg
02.03. A 40-year-old man is suspected of minor vandalism after kicking the main entrance of a hotel in frustration.

Assault, Degerfors
23.27. A 60-year-old woman is arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man she has a relationship with. There is no information on whether the man needed to seek medical attention.

Burglary, Degerfors
03.40. Security guards discover that an unknown perpetrator has attempted to break into the Järnverket area, including by smashing a window. The patrol searches the premises without finding anyone, but writes a report on burglary. It is unclear whether anything has been stolen at this point.

Narcotics Offense, Örebro
22.38. A 35-year-old man is controlled in Varberga and, as he shows clear signs of being under the influence of narcotics, a decision is made to conduct a body search. A report on narcotics offense, possession, and personal use is drawn up.

Public Urination, Örebro
00.15. A 20-year-old man is fined for urinating in a public place in City.

DUI, Örebro
01.22. An alarm is received about a driver crashing into a pole on Gällerstavägen. When the patrol arrives, the light pole is lying across the road, and three people are found uninjured. Suspicion arises that the driver, a 20-year-old woman, is under the influence of narcotics, and she is taken in for further testing. A report on drug-related DUI is filed.

Several callers have reported drivers playing very loud music in several locations in the county. The patrols have handled these to the extent possible given the resources. Since July 1, 2021, the police have been able to issue fines to those playing loud and disturbing music.

The police authority has also handled routine cases, such as checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime, wildlife accidents, DUI, and traffic controls.
