22.17. Several callers report loud bangs in the Tjärna Ängar area. After speaking with witnesses and checking the area, it is likely that rockets or firecrackers were involved. A broken windowpane is also found, and a report of damage is filed.
Arson, Ludvika
22.35. A patrol is dispatched to a suspected residential fire in the center. Upon arrival, it turns out that only paper has burned. The rescue service handles the smoke development and ventilates the apartment. A report of damage is filed. There are no suspects.
Unlawful Threats, Borlänge
00.59. Two off-duty police officers arrest a 20-year-old man who was threatening people at a nightclub in the center. The man is taken into custody according to LOB, the law on the detention of intoxicated persons, and is also suspected of unlawful threats.
Narcotics Offense, Hedemora
02.23. A 25-year-old man is checked at a restaurant in the center. The man shows clear signs of drug influence and is taken in for a body search. A report is filed regarding a minor narcotics offense, personal use.
Several callers have reported drivers playing very loud music in several parts of the county. The patrols have handled these as resources have allowed. Since July 1, 2021, the police can issue fines to those playing loud and disturbing music.
The police authority has also handled routine matters, such as checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of crime, wildlife accidents, intoxication, and traffic controls. No serious crimes have come to the police's attention.
