Tom Heaton has only played four matches since joining Manchester United in the summer of 2021.
Despite this, the 38-year-old gets to go to the European Championship with England – as a "training goalkeeper".

Despite this, the English goalkeeper is now "selected" by England's national team manager Gareth Southgate for the championship.
Heaton will be included as a "training goalkeeper", which means he will not be able to play matches with England, but only provide support during training sessions.
However, this did not stop the 38-year-old from expressing his joy over the news.
"I am incredibly honoured to have been asked by Gareth (Southgate). To be called up and get to go to a major championship, to contribute and share my experience, is a great moment for me. We have a good team, and I look forward to joining the group", he writes on X.
England are going to the championship with three goalkeepers, Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), and Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace). James Trafford (Burnley) was dropped when Southgate had to cut the squad from 33 to 26 players.
England play their European Championship opener against Serbia on 16 June.
