After the Fatal Accident: "Staff in Psychological Shock"

"The staff is in psychological shock after the incident", it states in the report, according to P4 Skaraborg.

In an email to TT, Christoffer Östling, who is the acting CEO of Skara Sommarland, writes about why a report was made.

"We had several employees who participated in the rescue work and several employees who were affected by the accident."

However, the Work Environment Authority will not proceed with an investigation. This is because Skara Sommarland is deemed capable of handling the staff's well-being after the serious incident, according to the authority.

Several interrogations

On Wednesday, the investigation into the accident, which is classified as manslaughter, continued.

We are trying to figure out how it happened and that's why we have started this preliminary investigation, says prosecutor and investigation leader Jenny Karlsson.

Several people have been questioned and more will be questioned. It involves talks with people who were nearby, who intervened, and employees with different positions at Skara Sommarland.

At present, neither any employee nor Skara Sommarland is suspected of any crime.

The accident is being investigated as a preliminary investigation with a crime classification in order to obtain the resources required for the investigation, according to Jenny Karlsson.

It's not a deliberate crime that we suspect, she says.

"Do not want to speculate"

Skara Sommarland is also conducting an internal investigation into the accident and does not want to comment on how it happened at present.

"It's an extremely tragic event and the sequence of events is something we are now investigating thoroughly. Before we are finished with the investigation, I do not want to speculate", writes Christoffer Östling in an email.
