An explosion occurred during the night to Friday in Partille when what is believed to be a hand grenade was thrown onto a balcony in an apartment building.
No personal injuries have been reported and only minor material damage was caused, according to the police on their website.
The National Bomb Squad has investigated the site and concludes that it is likely a hand grenade that was used.
The police have initiated an investigation into gross general endangerment.
