The police have rushed to an address in Vällingby in northwestern Stockholm after an explosion in a stairwell in an apartment building.
There has been an explosion with some kind of charge. There are material damages to walls and doors and shattered glass, but no personal injuries, says the police's press spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl to TT.
The alarm came in at 16.57. Residents in the stairwell have been evacuated.
We are searching for more traces after the event while we are looking for a perpetrator. At the same time, we are trying to ensure that there are no more dangerous objects in the surroundings.
The incident is being investigated as reckless endangerment and a crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods.
