Both Albania and Serbia are punished in the European Championship, after spreading "provocative messages" on banners during matches.
Uefa announced on Wednesday that the Albanian and Serbian football associations will be fined 100 000 kronor each, as supporters displayed banners with nationalist messages during European Championship matches.
In Albania's case, it concerns the match against Italy, which ended in a 1–2 defeat, where Albanian fans displayed a banner with a map of the country with borders extending over neighbouring countries' territories.
The Albanian association is also fined for fans who lit flares and fireworks, threw beer glasses, and a supporter who invaded the pitch.
The total fine amounts to over 400 000 kronor for the Albanian association.
In Serbia's case, it concerns a banner with a provocation against Kosovo – which declared independence from Serbia in 2008, but which Serbia has not recognised – displayed during the 0–1 defeat against England.
Serbia is also fined an additional 160 000 kronor due to fans throwing beer glasses during the match.
