The Swedish NHL star Elias Lindholm is clear for Boston. The ice hockey club confirms this on social media.

Lindholm comes most recently from Vancouver, where he was traded in January. In total, he scored 44 points in 75 matches there. Before that, he played six seasons in Calgary.

In Boston, he will be teammates with his namesake, Hampus Lindholm. The contract is written for seven years, according to NHL's website.

More Swedish NHL players have changed clubs on Monday. Viktor Arvidsson is leaving Los Angeles and has signed with Edmonton. The contract is valid for two years. Arvidsson has spent the last three seasons in Los Angeles. Kevin Stenlund, who won the Stanley Cup with Florida last week, is also moving. The 27-year-old will play for the new club Utah, which will make its NHL debut in the fall.

The Swedish players are worthy of honor. But Monday's most spectacular transfer in the NHL is Steven Stamkos' move to Nashville. He has played the last 16 seasons in Tampa Bay – 11 of them as captain. But now, new challenges await him in Nashville for the 34-year-old legend.

"Thanks, Tampa. I don't find the words yet... but I will soon. It's still too early to take it all in. But I want you to know how grateful I am for these 16 years," he writes on X, formerly Twitter.
