Google has already announced it, now e-commerce giant Amazon is doing the same, namely signing agreements on nuclear power projects. In an attempt to meet a growing energy demand, Amazon will now be involved in developing so-called small modular reactors (SMR), the company writes in a press release.
According to CNBC, it's about an investment of 500 million dollars, over five billion kronor, in three projects that affect several states in the USA.
