The American mobile and broadband operator AT&T's share is falling by 2.6 percent in futures trading on Wall Street following a quarterly report.

In the report, AT&T reports a turnover of 30.2 billion dollars for the third quarter, virtually unchanged from the corresponding quarter a year earlier. Analysts had expected 30.4 billion, according to Bloomberg.

The number of fiber network subscribers increased by 226,000 during the quarter, which can be compared to an average forecast of 265,900. However, the number of mobile subscribers increased by 403,000, compared to expected 394,600.

Competitor Verizon Communications also performed slightly worse than expected in the third quarter, which on Tuesday pushed the share down by over 5 percent.
