Axfood's new CEO Simone Margulies is appointed Årets Ruter Dam.

The prize goes to the woman who during the year has taken the most influential executive position. She has been a member of Axfood's group management for four years and has been CEO of Hemköp chain. In August, Simone Margulies, 46, stepped up to the top operational post in the food company with Willys and Hemköp in the portfolio.

The Axfood group has around 13,000 employees and annual revenues of approximately 80 billion kronor.

Last year, another food industry woman received the prize, Ica's CEO Nina Jönsson.
