Nina Dano back in the national team after tough times

Nina Dano didn't feel well last season and she was eventually stopped from playing in the Olympic Games. But soon the right-back is back in Blågult. Dano is selected in the squad for the national team matches against Spain later in October.

The 55-time national team player has previously told Göteborgs-Posten about the panic anxiety attacks that led to her breaking her contract with Danish Odense at the end of last season.

It was also her well-being that led to national team captain Tomas Axnér, together with the national team's medical team, deciding not to select Dano for the Olympic Games in Paris.

When Axnér presented his first squad since the Olympic Games on Tuesday, 24-year-old Dano, now in Sävehof, was back again.

Nice that we can select Nina again and that she's had a good summer, says Axnér in the national handball team's broadcast from the squad presentation.

Sweden will face Spain in Eskilstuna (October 24) and Gävle (October 26). Just over a month later, the women's handball team will start the European Championship in Hungary.

From the Olympic squad, where Sweden finished fourth, injured Sofia Hvenfelt and Nina Koppang are missing. In addition to Dano, goalkeeper Sofie Börjesson and midfielder Daniela de Jong are also back in the blue and yellow.
