Trash from a North Korean balloon has hit the government headquarters in South Korea's capital Seoul. The incident raises concerns about the vulnerability of important South Korean sites.
No dangerous objects have been found in the trash that was released over the government office area on Thursday morning, according to a statement from the president's security service. Nor was the trash that landed at the presidential office in July dangerous.
It is not known whether South Korea's President Yoon Suk-Yeol was present in the area at the time of the incident.
South Korean media report that North Korean flyers criticizing Yoon Suk-Yeol and his wife have been found in Seoul on Thursday. It is said to be the first time North Korean propaganda flyers have been found in South Korea since the balloon campaign began in May.
