Both clubs entered the season with ambitions. No one knows how it will turn out until well into next year. But here and now, it can be established after the clash at Scaniarinken: If Södertälje and Björklöven continue in the same style as last Friday in September, it could be an interesting season.
It was fast-paced, it was intense, it was entertaining, and the offensive efforts paid off in the form of five goals already in the first period.
Filiph Engsund utilized a numerical advantage, whereupon Ludvig Hedström increased the score to 2–0. Teammate Viktor Liljegren simultaneously notched his sixth point of the season – and that's just in the third round of the Hockey Allsvenskan.
Powerful turnaround
But after a quick reduction by Oscar Tellström, it was soon equalized. Finn Lenni Killinen elegantly and icily slotted in 2–2 between the legs of compatriot Frans Tuohimaa.
And with eight seconds left, Gustav Possler fired off a shot to win or lose. The turnaround was complete, but that puck should not have gotten past Tuohimaa.

Södertälje fought hard for an equalizer in the middle period, but 23–6 in shots and four power plays yielded nothing.

It came. Juho Liuksiala got free rein, slotted in 3–3, and secured a point.
The fire alarm went off
Hockey veterans Dick Axelsson, 37 years old, Patrick Thoresen, 40, and Linus Klasen, 38, can still do it. The trio scored in Djurgården's 5–4 away win against Västerås. Axelsson scored twice, too.
Djurgården had 5–3 when the fire alarm went off due to pyrotechnics, the arena had to be evacuated, and it wasn't until nearly an hour later that the match could be completed.
Oskarshamn made it 3–1 away against Almtuna, while AIK turned a deficit into a 3–1 win in Kalmar.
Karlskoga beat Mora 3–2 and is second in the table. Östersund–Vimmerby played 2–2, and the home team took the extra points after penalties.
