Canadian football legend Christine Sinclair, top scorer for the national team, has already said goodbye to the national team.
Now the 41-year-old is announcing that she is also quitting club football. She will play out the season in the American professional league for her Portland.
"Football has been my passion since I was four years old and has taken me on a journey that I could never have imagined", writes Sinclair on Instagram.
Sinclair played 331 international matches and scored 191 goals. The forward played in six World Championships and four Olympic Games, winning gold in the 2021 Olympic Games, when Canada beat Sweden in the final, and bronze in 2012 and 2016.
