Swedish defenseman Philip Broberg sent in his first Stanley Cup goal of his career – and contributed to the win for Edmonton.

The team is now one win away from the Stanley Cup finals.

Edmonton dominated when they met Dallas for the fifth time, in a series played best of seven.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored goals in both the first and second periods, both times in numerical superiority. And five minutes into the second period, the shock came: defenseman Philip Broberg sent in a goal from the blue line.

This was the first goal in a Stanley Cup playoff for the Swede, who celebrated with a victory cry and a group hug with teammates.

In interviews afterwards, he was however more taciturn.

Dallas got the last word with a goal from Wyatt Johnston in the third period, but it wasn't enough and the match ended 3-1 to Edmonton.

The result means that Edmonton is now just one win away from the Stanley Cup finals, since the series stands at 3-2.
