The Dutchman Arne Slot took over as coach for Liverpool after Jürgen Klopp and has had a brilliant start.

After the away win against Crystal Palace, league leaders Liverpool have won six matches in the Premier League and only lost one. They have also achieved two wins in the Champions League against Milan and Bologna, as well as a win in the league cup against West Ham.

Although Liverpool can record a 3–0 win in the top match against Manchester United, all wins in the league have come against teams from the lower half of the table. Now, they are facing opponents such as top contenders Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa.

Liverpool did not impress away against Crystal Palace, who before the match had only taken three points through three draws.

Despite this, Diogo Jota was able to score the leading goal at Selhurst Park in the ninth minute after a fine preparatory work by Cody Cakpko. A goal that proved to be the only one in the match.

Although Liverpool created some chances to extend their lead, Crystal Palace simultaneously had several good opportunities for an equalizer.

With a quarter of an hour left, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker also got injured when he was about to kick away a ball and the Brazilian was forced to substitute.
