Canada's Trudeau Survives No-Confidence Vote

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in power for nine years, survived the first no-confidence vote with a broad margin.

The conservative opposition party is leading big in opinion polls and promises to try to oust the liberal Trudeau again at the beginning of next week.

Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre wants a new election. Recently, Trudeau's coalition partner, the left-leaning NDP, broke off the relationship, making the minority government more vulnerable.
