The British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has made a thorough clearing of his storage. Guitars, training shoes, t-shirts, jackets, and a board game collection with several versions of Monopoly are just a few of the items he has donated to a charity auction.
The revenue from the sale of the 200 items, where an electric guitar with a built-in speaker and Pikachu decals stood for the evening's highest bid at 11,000 pounds, equivalent to approximately 149,000 kronor, will now be donated to St Elizabeth Hospice, a center in Suffolk, UK, that cares for people in the final stages of life.
Claire Dorman, whose husband James received care at the hospice before his death at the age of 37, tells that when she and her husband started dating in 2011, they spent many hours driving around in his car and listening to Ed Sheeran's +-album.
It was our absolute favorite. Ed's donation to the hospice is an incredibly kind gesture, and the funds it generates are crucial for the hospice to continue its important work, she says on the auction company Bishop & Miller's website.
