Elfsborg is clear for the European League's second qualifying round after another win against Cypriot Pafos.

Once again, the Borås club stood for a big win.

The evening's result was written to 5–2 for the away team. Over both matches, Elfsborg won 8–2, since they took a 3–0 win at home at Borås Arena.

Just like in the first match, Pafos received a red card, this time already in the 14th minute, when João Correia kicked a lying Arbër Zeneli.

Elfsborg could shortly thereafter take the lead through Timothy Ouma's penalty, before the home team turned it around to 2–1 during the first half, among other things after a clumsy own goal by Sebastian Holmén.

Directly in the second half, Elfsborg made a quick turnaround and extinguished the hopes of the Cypriots. The goals were made by Michael Baidoo and Andri Baldursson.

Elfsborg didn't want to stop there, but extended at two occasions through substitute Jalal Abdulai's nice chip and Arbër Zeneli's finishing 5–2 goal.

In the match, Johan Larsson also got his first playing time since Oscar Hiljemark took over as coach for the Borås club.

Swedish Muamer Tankovic, who plays in Pafos, was substituted with half an hour left to play, after making an assist in the match.

Elfsborg will face Moldovan Sheriff Tiraspol in the European League's second qualifying round, who knocked out Zira from Azerbaijan in the first qualifying round.
