Elias Ymer is out of the first round of Wimbledon.

The 205th-ranked Swede fell to 28th-seeded Jack Draper after a thrilling five-setter.

The only Swede in this year's Wimbledon tournament, Elias Ymer, is out already in the first round after losing to home player Jack Draper.

But not without putting up a really strong performance on Wimbledon's center court against the 177 places higher ranked home player.

Ymer pressured the Brit heavily and took it all the way to five sets, where he finally fell.

Pressed the home hope

The Swede got off to a flying start and took home the first set 6–3, and pressured the 28th-ranked Brit directly.

Both the second and third sets were taken home by Draper with the same score. But Ymer, ranked 205th, refused to give up and stood up well against the 22-year-old Brit.

In the fourth set, Ymer managed to break at 4–4, and took the match to a fifth and decisive set.

Break

But after a quarter of an hour's break, due to the roof being closed, Draper came out with new energy and finally managed to close out the match. The final score was 3–6, 6–3, 6–3, 4–6, 6–3

The Swede made it into the main draw via the qualifying tournament, where he won three straight matches. It was only the third time ever that Elias Ymer made it into the main draw of Wimbledon, and he has never passed the first round.
