German police are chasing a man who left a bag full of explosives at a commuter train station in Berlin, reports local media.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, when a police patrol was about to check a man at Neukölln station. When the man was confronted by the police, he dumped a bag, fled across the tracks, and managed to get away. The bag contained some form of explosive charge, the police write on X.
The bag could be detonated under controlled conditions on a nearby parking lot. The criminal police responsible for politically motivated crime have been called in, but currently, there are no concrete suspicions of terrorist plans.
