Florida is close to taking home the Stanley Cup. After a new win against Edmonton (4–3), the team has secured a match point and can become champions on Sunday night.

We know it's definitely going to be the toughest match, says Florida goalkeeper Sergej Bobrovskij.

It was a Florida that went all in before the third match in the Stanley Cup final, and came out as winners.

From the start, our competitive spirit and will to win were enormous, says Florida's Sam Bennett, who scored one of the evening's goals.

Now it looks like it's going to be the shortest Stanley Cup final in 26 years, according to Aftonbladet. Not since 1998, when Detroit beat Washington, has anyone become champions by winning four straight final matches.

It was cool to see what an effort everyone put in. Either you have it, or you don't. We have 23 guys on our team who have that will, says Bennett.

Forsling with an assist

But the match started as a quiet story. Not until just over a minute was left of the first period did the first goal come: Florida's Sam Reinhart sent the puck in after an assist from Swedish Gustav Forsling and teammate Aleksander Barkov.

Edmonton equalised in the second period – but when Florida then scored three goals in quick succession, the home team couldn't recover.

Despite Edmonton making a last-ditch effort and scoring two goals in the third period, including one by Swedish Philip Broberg, it wasn't enough. A jubilant Florida took home the win with 4–3.

"Taking nothing for granted"

This is the third match that Florida wins in the series, which is played best of seven, which means that the team can already take home the Stanley Cup on Sunday night – if they win again then.

We know it's definitely going to be the toughest match. We take nothing for granted, we take it one day at a time, says Florida goalkeeper Sergej Bobrovskij, who made 32 saves during the match.
