When an eight-year-old girl in North Zealand, Denmark, came home after going "trick or treating", her parents made a shocking discovery. Someone had given the girl a bag of cocaine, reports TV2.
For the TV channel, the girl's mother tells that she quickly sensed that something was wrong. At first, she thought it might be sugar, but after both she and her husband tasted a little of the powder, they realized it was something else.
The mother describes how she felt her tongue becoming numb. They contacted the police, who on Thursday evening could confirm that it was cocaine.
I'm still shaken over what could have happened. It must have happened by mistake when the bag ended up in the candy basket, says the girl's mother to TV2.
No similar incidents have been reported, which leads the police to believe it was an isolated incident.
