The police station in the metropolis of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine was hit by two Russian robots on Friday evening. A police officer was killed in the attack.
"Today, the Russian enemy has targeted a police station in central Kharkiv, a police officer was killed and 26 more police officers were injured, as well as four civilians," announced Ivan Vygivskyj, the national police chief, on Facebook.
At the same time, the media company Bloomberg reported that Russian forces are advancing in the eastern part of Ukraine with increased intensity, while Russia is strengthening its military offensive capabilities in the Kursk region with North Korean soldiers.
The changes in the combat situation have led the US to decide on a new military aid package to Ukraine, worth $425 million, equivalent to approximately 4.5 billion kronor, announced the US Department of Defense on Friday evening. The aid package includes, among other things, air defense robots, ammunition for rocket systems and artillery, armored vehicles, and armor-piercing weapons.
