The Stockholm stock exchange fell in line with the development around Europe. The OMXS index dropped 0.8 percent.

The Stockholm stock exchange's decline was relatively constant throughout the trading day. However, strong price reactions were seen in several companies that released interim reports during the morning.

Steel manufacturer SSAB lost 3.2 percent after predicting a weak development for the remainder of 2024. Forest company Stora Enso fell 6.6 percent after reporting a decline in sales.

In the opposite direction, cash handling company Loomis stood out, reporting a record quarter in terms of revenue. The stock surged nearly 16 percent to the highest level for the year.

Defense group Saab rose 3.6 percent after receiving a new billion-kronor order from an unnamed Western country.

Cloud service company Sinch increased 2.2 percent.

The leading European stock exchanges also fell on Wednesday. The declines in Frankfurt and Paris were on par with the Stockholm stock exchange, while London only dropped a few tenths.
