Häcken leapfrog Hammarby to take second place in the women's top flight, following a 2-0 win over Vittsjö.

It was a Häcken in high spirits that took on Vittsjö on Monday evening. The team grasped control of the match from the start and were rewarded for their efforts after just eleven minutes, when Clarissa Larisey put Häcken 1-0 up.

Just six minutes later, 17-year-old Felicia Schröder extended the lead to 2-0.

Vittsjö failed to get a foothold in the match, and the 0-2 deficit – which felt somewhat flattering – was a reality at half-time.

We're a step behind in every situation, quite simply. We need to be much quicker in our transitions and more aggressive in our press, noted Vittsjö's Elisabet Klinga in Viaplay at half-time.

In the second half, Vittsjö came out stronger, managing to shut up shop at the back. However, they failed to capitalise on their chances going forward, and Häcken claimed a 2-0 win.

It was a great start for us. We've struggled to get that first goal early on, so it was nice to get two goals quickly after each other, said Häcken's Filippa Curmark in Viaplay after the win.

Unbeaten Rosengård top the table after eleven rounds, seven points ahead of Häcken.
