The half-leader giant Nvidia's success means that founder Jensen Huang's total wealth continues to increase. Huang is now the world's twelfth richest person according to Bloomberg's billionaire list with a total wealth of 119 billion dollars.
Since the turn of the year, there has been an addition of 74 billion dollars to Huang's wealth, and Nvidia's stock market success has brought Huang close to the top 10 list with names like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and in first place, Tesla founder Elon Musk.
Elon Musk still tops the list, but the gap to second-placed Amazon's Jeff Bezos has decreased significantly since the turn of the year, and currently, there are "only" three billion between the two.
On Tuesday, Nvidia surpassed Microsoft as the world's highest-valued company.
