Israel's military says that there are signs that Hamas leader Mohammed Deif was killed in the attack on July 13 against a camp outside Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

The attack targeted Deif and another Hamas leader, Rafa Salama, who according to Israel was killed in the attack.

Hamas has claimed that Deif was not hit in the attack. "He is doing well and working," according to the terrorist-stamped movement.

Daniel Hagari, the Israeli military's spokesperson, says that the two leaders were sitting next to each other at the time of the attack.

We will find out, confirm and reveal it, says Hagari.

According to Israel, Deif and Salama are the "brains" behind the terrorist attack on October 7 when Hamas and its allies killed around 1,200 people and more than 250 were taken hostage. The attack led to Israel declaring war on the terrorist-stamped extremist movement.

Over 38,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the war began, according to Hamas-controlled health authorities.
