A 45-year-old man has died after an accident with an electric scooter in Hunnebostrand in Sotenäs municipality in Västra Götaland, the police write on their website.
It was during the night towards Saturday that the police were alerted to the scene. The caller reported that a man had fallen off his electric scooter on a downhill slope and been seriously injured, reports Bohusläningen. The man was taken to hospital.
The injury was so severe that his life could not be saved, says police spokesperson Caroline Karlsson to the newspaper.
The police have filed a report on reckless endangerment in traffic to investigate what happened. The scooter has been seized.
