A man in his 70s who went missing after a drowning alarm in Piteå on Saturday has been found dead, reports SVT News Norrbotten.
The man disappeared, according to the police, after trying to swim after a drifting boat. A large search effort was launched with a helicopter, drones, rescue services, and divers, but to no avail.
According to the police, the man was later found washed up in Svensbyfjärden outside Luleå. Relatives have been informed and there is no suspicion of crime.
