After an alarm about a car that drove into a river in Kalmar county, an elderly man has been found dead.
The man, who was found inside the car, is believed to be a person from the area who was reported missing, but he has not yet been formally identified, the police write on their website.
We have informed his relatives that the car and the man have been found. A forensic examination will be conducted to establish identity. We suspect no crime, says Evelina Olsson, press spokesperson for the police.
