The FBI has arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of planning a terrorist attack in the USA on election day, November 5, according to the US Department of Justice.
The man, who came to the USA from Afghanistan in 2021, has told about his plans to attack large crowds and that he intended to die in the act, accompanied by a minor accomplice, during interrogations.
The two were arrested on Monday after acquiring two AK-47 rifles and ammunition.
The 27-year-old is accused of collaborating with the terrorist organization IS.
