The bombs hit a residential building where a family lived. Unconfirmed videos circulating on social media allegedly show dead children and parents whose bodies are being taken to al-Awda hospital.
Just a few hours earlier, a similar Israeli attack was reported inside the city of Gaza. There, the civil defense reports six dead, also believed to be from the same family.
Israel often explains such attacks by saying that Palestinian extremists are hiding among civilians, but receives harsh international criticism when innocent people are still severely affected.
