French attacking star Kylian Mbappé took part, with a bandaged nose, in a light training session on Wednesday – just two days after breaking his nose in the match against Austria in the European Championship.

"No risk, no reward," he writes on Instagram.

Earlier on Wednesday, teammate William Saliba gave a reassuring update on Mbappé.

I met him this morning. He's feeling a bit better, said Saliba at a press conference.

Adrien Rabiot also sought to calm the talk surrounding Mbappé earlier on Wednesday.

A broken nose is not the end of the world, Kylian should be with us pretty soon, says the midfielder.

And it certainly seems to be the case with the French star, who took part in a light training session on Wednesday with a bandage covering his broken nose.

"No risk, no reward," Mbappé writes on Instagram – the first and so far only comment the star has made since the accident in the match against Austria.

Mbappé broke his nose after a collision with Kevin Danso in Monday's European Championship match. After an examination, the doctors were able to establish that the star does not need to undergo surgery until after the championship.

However, the 25-year-old is said to miss the remaining group stage matches while he receives treatment over the next few days. If France advances from the group stage, it will be a game in a mask for Mbappé.

The match between Austria and France ended 1–0 to the French after an unfortunate own goal by Maximilian Wöber.

In France's next match, they will face the Netherlands on Midsummer Eve. The Netherlands also won their first match against Poland.
