Two men were injured in a car fire in Jörlanda, Västra Götaland County, during the night leading up to Sunday.
It is still unclear what happened. But the fire started in their car when they were not driving it, says Caroline Karlsson, the police's press spokesperson.
The men, who are in their 20s, were taken to hospital by ambulance. The condition of one of the men is reported to be serious.
One of them has severe burns and the other is less seriously injured, continues Caroline Karlsson.
The car was found burnt out. The police have filed a report on reckless endangerment and insurance fraud.
We suspect that the fire was arson. Since several seizures were made at the scene, leading to suspicions of insurance fraud.
According to the police, it is too early to provide more details about the incident.
