Malmö FF's captain Pontus Jansson's name appears in the investigation where 12 people have been charged with a hooligan fight.

Teammate Sebastian Nanasi says the team has handled the situation well and shows his support for Jansson.

On Monday, 12 people were charged with a hooligan fight between Malmö FF and Djurgården supporters at Fridhemsplan in Stockholm last autumn.

In chat groups, which are part of the investigation, MFF captain Pontus Jansson has been one of the members. According to media reports, Jansson is said to have leaked sensitive information in a group chat, but he is not suspected of a crime and has himself denied sharing such information.

Teammate Sebastian Nanasi is currently at the A-team's gathering in Malmö ahead of Wednesday's training match against Denmark in Copenhagen, but he trained when the charges were filed.

He has been in contact with Jansson recently.

Jansson himself is said to have informed the club about his involvement in a supporter chat and, in consultation, it was decided that he would miss Saturday's match against Brommapojkarna in Allsvenskan. The club has launched an internal investigation into the incident.

Last spring, MFF midfielder Sergio Peña was arrested for drunk driving in central Malmö. The Peruvian was later sentenced to a conditional sentence with 50 hours of community service for gross drunk driving and illegal driving.
