The man who was suspected of murder at the beginning of August after a woman died following a fall from a balcony is no longer suspected of a crime.

The woman, who was in her 35s, was severely injured when she was found at an apartment building in Malmö on the night of August 6. She later died at the hospital.

The man was arrested despite his denial as a suspect for murder.

The arrest was lifted on August 28 and earlier this week, prosecutor Pia Björnsson informed Malmö District Court that the preliminary investigation had been discontinued. The reason is that the suspicions cannot be substantiated and that further investigation is not expected to change the evidence in any decisive way.
