One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter after a near-drowning incident on Lake Uddjaure south of Arjeplog, according to the police.
They had been out with several canoes, one was missing and then the others alerted, says Anna Nordlund, operations manager at the rescue service.
The affected person was found by the rescue service, but the extent of the injuries is currently unclear.
In total, there were seven people out paddling canoes. The police are now conducting witness interviews.
The alarm was raised at 16.26 on Thursday.
