A woman has been run over by a so-called "amphibious bus" on Östermalm in Stockholm and is seriously injured, according to the police.
The accident occurred during Thursday afternoon and an investigation into reckless driving and bodily harm was initiated.
The exact sequence of events is a bit too early to comment on, but the bus has been seized so we can investigate what happened, says Carina Skagerlind, press spokesperson for the Stockholm police.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. Earlier, the accident site on Karlavägen was cordoned off, but traffic is now flowing again. The bus is of a type that can be driven both on water and on land under the brand name Ocean Bus.
