Ukraine has knocked out two strategically important bridges over the Sejm River in the Russian Kursk region since the ground offensive began last week. The country's air force chief confirms:
"Minus one bridge. The air force continues to deprive the enemy of logistical capacity with precise air strikes", comments Mykola Olesjtjuk in a video he posted after the attack.
Earlier, the American think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) received information that another bridge had been destroyed, which has not been confirmed.
Geolocated images confirm, however, that the previously attacked bridge has collapsed, and the Russian Foreign Ministry went out on Saturday and described it as "completely destroyed".
The damage to the bridges complicates Russia's ability to send reinforcements to the area.
Early on Sunday morning, Ukrainian drones attacked an industrial warehouse 25 miles from the border in the Rostov region. A diesel fire broke out, but no one was injured, according to the region's governor. According to the Ukrainian military, they attacked a storage facility for oil and fuel that supplied the Russian military.
