After ten consecutive national championship gold medals in shot put, Fanny Roos has been dethroned.

New Swedish champion is Axelina Johansson, who threw almost 19 meters.

I'm super happy, she says to SVT after the victory.

Axelina Johansson threw a season-best 18.97 meters, a result that secured the national championship gold.

I'm super happy with the competition, it was great fun to compete with a Swedish audience, there was good pressure, a super fun competition, says Johansson.

The ten-time national champion in shot put, Fanny Roos, saved the best for last. In today's final attempt, Roos threw the farthest when she reached 18.57, which was enough for a second place.

Sara Lennman finished third in shot put with 17.68.

Both Axelina Johansson and Fanny Roos are waiting for the Olympics in Paris in less than a month.

I'm primarily happy that I can maintain such a high level and perform when it matters, it feels good ahead of the Olympics, says Johansson.

Moa Hjelmer, who has previously announced that this season is her last, got a fine final national championship competition.

In Uddevalla, the 34-year-old finished third in the 400 meters with 53.81, after winner Jonna Claesson, 53.49, and runner-up Lisa Lilja, 53.51.

I'm just so grateful and happy... It couldn't have been better, she says to SVT.

In the 100 meters hurdles, favorite Lovisa Karlsson handled the pressure. The 24-year-old won with a time of 13.14 seconds ahead of Johanna Carlsson (13.46) and Julia Wennersten (13.69).
