Alex Norén barely qualified for the second playoff tournament on the PGA tour, BMW Championship. But after half the tournament, the Swede shows that he absolutely has something to do there.
The 42-year-old followed up Thursday's fine start, which resulted in a shared third place, by going another fine round. Norén made seven birdies and three bogeys, which meant a round four under par, and a total score of –8.
A result that now places him in solo fourth place behind Australian Adam Scott (–12), American Keegan Bradley (–10) – and none other than Ludvig Åberg (–9).
Åberg made a giant round on the second day in Colorado and now holds third place.
Eight birdies, an eagle, and a bogey mean –9, both for the day and total after yesterday's par round.
The Swede has thus made a significant climb in the total standings of over 20 places to be solo third.
