North Korea has sent up additional trash balloons that are reportedly on their way to South Korea, according to South Korean authorities.
Residents should be cautious of falling trash and not touch the balloons without immediately reporting the finds to the police or military.
"A suspected balloon from North Korea has entered the airspace in northern Gyeonggi Province. Residents should be cautious with outdoor activities in the area", the authorities write.
Over 1,000 trash balloons have been sent from North Korea across the border to the south since May. The balloons are, according to North Korea, a retaliation for "propaganda" flyers that have been sent northward across the border by activists in South Korea. The flyers have, among other things, contained criticism of the regime in North.
