Billionaire Tom Hagen, husband of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen who disappeared from their home in Norwegian Lørenskog almost six years ago, is acquitted in court of suspicions of having contributed to his wife's disappearance.
In a press release from Tom Hagen's lawyer Svein Holden, it appears that the case has been dropped since "no crime is deemed proven". This means that the evidence against Hagen is not considered particularly strong.
Tom Hagen has been suspected of murder or complicity in murder for over four years. He has consistently denied any involvement.
The investigation continues.
We believe that Anne Elisabeth Hagen has been subjected to a serious crime, and the investigation in this case will continue, says prosecutor Vibeke Schøyen at a press conference on Friday.
