Anna Kinberg Batra, former party leader of The Moderate Party, took office as governor last year.

In the spring, Aftonbladet revealed that she had recruited two friends to the positions of planning manager and organizational developer at the county administrative board.

The position of planning manager was advertised only through an ad posted in the reception area, while the position of organizational developer was never advertised.

TV4 News could also report that the position of emergency preparedness manager at the county administrative board went to a person who did not meet the requirements for an academic degree.

The Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO) launched an investigation into the three recruitments, and the JO's decision will be announced on Thursday.

In a statement to the JO regarding one of the recruitments, Kinberg Batra previously wrote:

"The risk of being questioned is never non-existent when there are personal relationships, but I assessed that the benefit to the agency of her experience and competence outweighed. Against that background, it would of course have been better to abstain from decision-making on this position."

About a month ago, the National Audit Office also launched an investigation into Kinberg Batra after the county director Åsa Ryding was dismissed from her job.

We have understood that there were possible uncertainties about how this was handled, said Stefan Gollbo, unit manager at the National Audit Office, to Aftonbladet at the time.
